This one of the practice's mainstream services. A full range of survey procedures is available on a site or habitat basis and can be tailored to meet specific client requirements. Phase 1 Habitat Survey is the first stage of many projects and National Vegetation Classification (NVC) or other Phase 2 surveys are routinely undertaken. These can be supported by more specialised services such as habitat condition assessment. We often use air photos to assist with vegetation mapping. A high sensitivity GPS handset is used for taking grid references of target notes, notable plants and quadrats etc.
