21st July 2009. The grand opening of Machrihanish Dunes GC went well despite the weather. There is a good piece in the paper mentioning Carol Crawford, with some of her photos: early marsh orchids, sea bindweed, bulbous buttercup and field gentians (though they forgot to credit her for them). See
24th April 2009. The handing over of the agreed Machrihanish Dunes GC Management Plan (which we prepared with input from the team) to Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) on 22/4 made front page of local paper. See campbeltowncourier. SNH are happy of the with the way the new course has been built avoiding "the best bits" of the SSSI.
9th April 2009. Carol Crawford's new paper: Ancient Woodland Indicator Plants in Scotland published in Scottish Forestry. Paper can be downloaded from Publications page. One of her photos is on the cover of the journal - see Photographs page.
11th February 2009. New consultation paper on Scottish list of Ancient Woodland Vascular Plants (AWVPs) sent to Native Woodlands Discussion Group members for comments. Responses used in new paper on AWVPs above, updating 2006 paper (also on Publications page).
