24th May 2010. Announced at RSFS Annual Business Meeting that Carol Crawford's paper on ancient woodland indicators came second in the annual competition for best paper in the journal.

21st July 2009. The grand opening of Machrihanish Dunes GC went well despite wet weather. There is a good piece in the paper mentioning Carol Crawford, with some of her photos: early marsh orchids, sea bindweed, bulbous buttercup and field gentians. See
24th April 2009. The handing over of the agreed Machrihanish Dunes GC Management Plan (which NRC prepared with input from green staff) to Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) on 22/4 made front page of local paper. .
9th April 2009. Carol Crawford's new paper: Ancient Woodland Indicator Plants in Scotland published in Scottish Forestry. Paper can be downloaded from Publications page (as can 2006 paper on same subject). One of her photos is on the cover of the journal - see Photographs page.
